Project Client: Defense Acquisition University (DAU)

The Defense Acquisition University (DAU) is the one institution that touches nearly every member of the Department of Defense Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (AT&L) workforce throughout all professional career stages. The DAU provides a full range of basic, intermediate, and advanced certification training, assignment-specific training, performance support, job-relevant applied research, and continuous learning opportunities.

George Mason University’s Immersion Program

The full-time Immersion Program is an option within the Instructional Design and Development track of the Instructional Technology Master’s program. The Immersion Program is designed to allow teams of 8-10 full-time students to immerse themselves in several project-based experiences that require them to utilize their instructional design, development, and management skills through authentic practice.

Project Goal

The overall goal of this project is to improve or increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) training programs and consulting capabilities which will empower the DoD Acquisition Workforce to better manage and execute job performance. The project is investigative in nature and shall conduct research on innovative learning technology designs and recommend the development, application or integration of advanced learning technologies.
