1. WordPress
Use as client site. Post team photo, individual photos and bios. Post link to individual portfolios from this site. Discussion about posting the syllabus and status reports on this site. DAU has given permission to post syllabus. Nada and Kevin will decide about posting their status reports. We agreed that team meetings and status reports will be posted to the WordPress site. We discussed using a timeline as a way to visually show progress. Susan will work on that. Discussion about where documents will ‘live’ and what format they will assume – html, pdf, etc. Projects live on wordpress; deliverables live on wiki. Discussed tabs needed on WordPress site. Change ‘projects’ to ‘progress’ and under ‘resources’ put scholarly papers or other resources of interest to the project sponsor. Statement of Work will be on wordpress. 2. PBWorks Use as team worksite. Kevin and Nada will post announcements on front page section. Developed sidebar area with syllabus, links to class readings, links to project resources, calendar, and site. In the navigation section, we need to decide what folders are needed, name them, and delete and clean up unneeded pages, files and folders. We discussed how to change alert bots. Once you log in, go to starred pages and check preferences at the bottom. That’s where you make your changes. There are also templates to explore. Each of us can choose a way to post our reflections and make them private for Kevin and Nada. 3. Team Vision, Mission and Norms Reviewed and discussed each of these. Team Vision: Solving problems through innovative solutions and emerging technologies. Team Mission: We are committed to realizing our vision by creating a collaborative and inclusive environment to achieve client goals and facilitate learning. The team will operate with professionalism and integrity while setting the industry standard by developing, producing, and distributing innovative solutions. Norms: We strive to: -Be committed, flexible, adaptable, dependable, focused, disciplined, curious, and creative. -Openly communicate our ideas, opinions and feelings treating each other with dignity and respect. -Share information with our team members in a timely manner. -Challenge each other towards attaining personal and organizational excellence while learning from our differences. -Reflect on and evaluate our processes as well as our product or service. -Presume positive motives and work towards creating an atmosphere of trust and non-defensiveness. -Clear conflicts as they arise. When the group has made a decision and it was not consensus, the whole group supports the decision. Kevin and Nada said it was unrealistic to assume that problems won’t arise and we will be better able to deal with them if we have guidelines in place now. They encouraged us to think more specifically about possible problems and determine if our norms would be helpful to us when we had to deal with difficulties. 4. Other Adobe professional is on computer room computers If you go to Patriot computing, you can buy software at student rates Instructions by Kevin and Nada to finalize and implement the above items immediately. |
