1. Role Rotation

Discussion about how often to rotate roles and tenure length. Decision was made for current roles to stay the same until Wednesday, September 30, 2009. We will discuss frequency and rotation of roles for the future on that date as well. Each person in their current role should go onto Roles and Responsibilities page in Google Docs and assess job scope and provide a nice, clean bulleted list of responsibilities.

2. Open Source Project Management Tool Discussion

Susan talked to Nada about Shahron’s previous recommendation; however, it is not a viable option because of the expense. Some discussion about Sue Dass looking into MS Project. Shantell has done training on MS Project and might be able to provide training to the team if needed. We all agreed that we wanted to provide a graphic representation of team progress for the website.

Susan and Sue will continue on this research path and they will report on Monday with a recommendation.

3. DAU Site

Lengthy discussion about complexity of website and best way for us to investigate it. We decided that we all wanted to be familiar with the overall site. A construct that might help us focus on specifics includes page two of the Executive Summary of the GMU Proposal to DAU. It provides a specific framework that we can use as we look at the site.

These items are:

  • Learning products or assets;
  • Delivery tools; and
  • Examples of learning technologies.

Other things to think about as we review the website include:

  1. Who might use certain learning assets;
  2. How will different learning assets be used by particular groups;
  3. What tools appear to be utilized for different training situations and/or topics;
  4. What are the most frequently accessed areas of the site?
4. Questions for DAU on Monday

We reviewed the long list of questions generated yesterday and concluded that we need some good, overarching questions for Monday. Susan will put some higher order questions together for us to review before we get started tomorrow.
