Agenda Items and Notes
Based on discussions, the following decisions were made:

  • GMU team will proceed with the development of LATIST (Learning Asset Technology Integration Support Tool)
  • LATIST will have three components: (1) Research and Resources (Body of Knowledge), (2) Decision Component (we’ll find a better name for this one), and (3) Tutorials and Emerging Technologies
  • LATIST will be contextualized to DAU users (faculty & staff) linking to specific courses and examples where possible
  • LATIST will be developed using WordPress in house (on the GMU server) and will be transferred to the DAU server later (Rebecca will speak to the IT person to make sure that we are okay with this)
  • LATIST and each of its 3 components will be developed for the web as well as for mobile technology
  • GMU will hire the services of a development firm to ensure a functional prototype (money has been allocated in the budget for this)
  • We will look at ACQ 201A and ACQ 201B for course examples to demonstrate how LATIST works (we need access to these courses)
  • ACQ 201A is an online survey course with 36 lessons that take the learner through the entire acquisitions cycle (look at earned value lesson)
  • GMU team may benefit from travelling to Orlando to visit Team Orlando and/or attend a conference (Paul will talk to Alicia Sanchez about this)
  • Paul will assemble a small team of CDs, PLDs, CMs, etc., to meet with the GMU team the first week of March to discuss the decision component of LATIST (the factors that impact technology selection and integration and related process using specific examples)
  • Rebecca will be available to meet with the team as well.
